Happy Halloween

Kellen's 1st Halloween!!
Well, he really dressed up last year also but  didn't know it.
Yep, he was our lil pumpkin belly which won us "best costume" at Ian & Sandy's Halloween Party... but this year, he was our little Monkey.
It was a toss up between that or a bear.
{our 2 favorite nick names for him}
We did not go Trick -or-Treating all night around the neighborhood though.
Just decided for picture purposes to go to Cocia Erin & Uncle Ashley's before they
went to Tiffany's as they do every year.  Then off to Babcia & Dzia Dzia's house.
Dzia Dzia was up at work but Cocia Hana & "almost Uncle" Irish were there.
We were glad they were there to see him & Cocia Hana was even dressed up!
Hopefully next year,
Jason & I can take Kellen out with Erin, Ash, Caitlyn & Ashee
and start our own tradition.
We had so much fun seeing him dive in the candy bowl, only to
then give those pieces he picked to Mom & Dad!
Maybe we should have went out all night with him!
Happy Halloween!

Let the carving begin

We decided to forgo Sandy & Ian's 4th annual Halloween party this year & stay at home
and do some family pumpkin carving.  Jason got pretty creative with his 2 pumpkins.
{go Hawks & Steelers}
And I had fun watching how excited he was as they were turning out.
I had the honor to do Kellen's 1st pumpkin as well as my own...BOO.
We also like to decorate our door for all the little Trick-or-Treaters!
The little kids all loved it and said our place was the best place
they've been to all night!

My First Pumpkin

Kellen's 1st pumpkin search!
We heard wonderful things about Spooner Farms in Orting
so we knew we had to go for Kellen's first pumpkin.
First, I have to start by saying, Jason's phone was acting up so his GPS wasn't working so he called Verizon and had them try to fix it all while I'm driving towards that area.
We knew how to get to Orting so I just kept driving down 167, then to 410, got off of the
Orting exit and drove a few minutes all the meanwhile mad at Jason 'cause his phone is still not working and we need to get to the pumpkin patch soon!
I pulled over and called Sandra, the ARNP I work for, who got on her computer and helped talk us through this tough time Jason & I were bickering about.  She told us to stay on the road we were on and we should run into it.  After I hung up the phone with her, we pulled back on the road and drove a few more feet (literally) and it was there on our right!!  Needless to say, we laughed and I couldn't be mad at his phone anymore.
So when we got there, we knew we were going to let Kellen pick out
his own pumpkin.  We put him down on the ground, let him crawl around and the
first pumpkin he went to touch was his.
We had a blast & will definately be going back next year.
Enjoy some memorable pics of our first pumpkin patch outing as a family.

Kellen on the search.

The ONE!

1 on 1 bonding time with his new pumpkin in the wheelbarrow!
Yummy!!

Visiting the animals.  Felt just like Grandpa's house.

Until next year....
