Cousins

Today Kellen & I went to Cocia Erin and Uncle Ashley's house.
Caitlyn and Ashton LOVE him.
They both will argue (so preciously) about who gets to hold him first.
(That is after Cocia Erin gets him of course)..
I'm so excited that I was able to give them a sweet baby cousin to play with.
Look at his precious little grin right before we left...
He had an awsome time!

...More Eye for Detail

Again at the reception, everything from the food to the centerpieces & from the cake to the Candy Bar, they turned out exactly how we imagined it!!

An Eye for Detail

I wanted to capture some of the beautiful details from our wedding. I think Jason & I couldn't have picked a better theme. We fell in love with the Peacock feather and went from there. We had so much fun with all the colors and I think our photographer captured it beautifully!

Rub a Dub Dub

Kellen hated bathtime at first.  Now it's his favorite thing
EVER
Especially when he gets to go into the shower with Daddy...
I love watching it 'cause he looks like a little tree frog stuck on Daddy's belly!

 Love it!

Meeting The Family

The family that couldn't make it to the hospital got to meet our
precious boy a few days later...here are some pictures
that captured those special moments.

Thank Heaven For Little Boys

January 5, 2011
I woke up at 3am with contractions. I stayed in bed for most of it, Jason got a heating pad for my back which seemed to help for most of the time.  When the constractions got a little worse, I got up and walked our room.  Since this was our DUE DATE, we had our 40wk appointment.  It was set for 8am.  I paged Dr Venuto at 7:30am to explain my symptoms and to see if she still wanted me to come in. We eventually went in to find out I was 4cm dilated and 90% effaced and was no doubt in labor.  Contractions were 2-5 mins apart but they were getting more intense so I told Jason we should make our way to the hospital {which was right across street}
I was checked in and admitted at about 9:30am.
I did not want an epidural but as the pain got a little worse very fast, I asked what other meds they offered.  She went through the list and I agreed to Nubane, an IV drug, even though it made NO difference to labor what-so-ever.
A very short hour or so later I gave birth to a healthy 7lb 6oz 20in baby boy...

I hear 3% of women give birth to their baby on their due date...I gave birth to Kellen on his, and my mom told me I was born on mine....What a rare & special thing to share with my baby boy!

I will NEVER have a more beautiful picture taken of me!

and her assistant Monica.  Thank you for all the guidance throughout my
very enjoyable pregnancy!

Jason snapped this picture while we were getting ready to pack up and leave.
I'm sure you can't tell but this was my nervous face.

getting ready to be wheeled down
to take him home.
At this very moment, I was
proud,
happy,
scared,
nervous,
anxious,
&
 tired...
and many more feelings but at this moment, I knew that everything would be ok.
Kellen has 2 parents
that are going to love him so dearly
and will do everything they can to give him a life of nothing but love & happy memories!!

Jason and I found out we were expecting our first child unexpectedly.

That unexpected day turned out to be the
1st half of the best day of my life

I was glowing not only because I was marrying the man
of my dreams,
but because I was carrying our first, very much anticipated, child.

Becoming Mrs. Thompson

September 24, 2010

Today I married my BEST friend.  Our story started back about 15 years ago.  I met Jason through a friend of mine who moved to Napavine, his home town. He was my first boyfriend, first kiss and first love.  Our friendship throughout all these years grew to become a love that I can't even begin to describe.  My wedding speech to him said it all....I explained to him that my dad took me out on my "1st Date" when I turned 16.  He opened doors, pulled out chairs, we got the steak & lobster for dinner and he picked up the bill at the end.  He explained to me that this is how I should be treated by the men I would be dating in the future.  Little did I know he was describing Jason to the "T."  Chivalry has not died, and I am proud to say that I'm happily married to the living proof.  September 24th was ONE of the BEST days of my life.

My brother Jon officiated our wedding.  He did an amazing job.  We wrote the ceremony
and asked that he start out with his signature,
"You are probably all wondering
why I gathered you here today."

Just a few shots from our ceremony

About to share our first kiss as husband & wife!

Mom kissing me good luck before the ceremony and dad seeing me for the first time.
