Motherhood

Where do I begin?
My maternity leave officially ended today.  Although at first I felt a part of me was losing something special, I realized that this is just the beginning of the something wonderful to come!

Motherhood is THE MOST amazing experience on this planet.
From the very moment Kellen Dean was placed onto my tummy and into my arms,
 I experienced a love,
a fear,
a relief,
 a joy,
 a hope,
a happiness,
 a dream come true
like none other I have ever felt.
He has brought me so much and tought me to love
like I've never loved before.
I want to spend everyday of my life protecting him & know he will be my protector.
I want to make sure he feels loved & that he knows how to love back.
I want to teach him everything I know & have him teach me what I do not.
I want to make sure he knows he can be who he wants to be & that he's made me everything that I'VE always wanted to be.
I am a better person because of this one tiny miracle & I thank God that he
has come into my life.
I love you, my precious baby Kellen.

'Til Next Time

This past week was unforgettable.  We had so much fun spending
time with Brayden as a family of 4.  He is such a good big brother & son.
Jason and I are so very proud of him.  Just a recap of our week in pictures...
Enjoy!
xoxo

Spent some time at the pool (indoor of course)

Put together some puzzles that
Babcia got him for his birthday

Cousin Caitlyn spent the night

Spent the day at the Pacific Science Center
with Jason, Grandma, Aunt Tera & Aunt Courtney

Read to Jason every day
(and worked on his spelling & math too!)

Spent a gorgeous Saturday fishing down
at the Pier on the Tacoma Waterfront.
Didn't catch any fish....
but did catch a Starfish..and a mommy crab!!
(yes, both were thrown back in)

Bowling night at Secoma Lanes

Played a few games of "Sorry"

We're sad to see him go and sorry that it was such a short
visit but none-the-less can't wait until he comes back
up in July for Summer break!

Love you Brayden!

Happy Birthday Mother!

Everything Mom

How did you find the energy, Mom
To do all the things you did,
To be teacher, nurse and counselor
To me, when I was a kid.

How did you do it all, Mom,
Be a chauffeur, cook and friend,
Yet find time to be a playmate,
I just can’t comprehend.

I see now it was love, Mom
That made you come whenever I'd call,
Your inexhaustible love, Mom
And I thank you for it all.

Weekend Re-Cap

Since Brayden is usually up here for his spring break, we always make sure we celebrate his
birthday in style.
His birthday is March 24, he will be turning the BIG 7!!!
We traveled down to Napavine for the weekend,
went to Papa Pete's Pizza and enjoyed time with family & friends.
Happy Birthday Brayden!

Jason, Me, Brayden & Kellen.

Daddy & Ksavera's gift...a BB Gun!
Brayden first sat with Jason to get a very detailed instruction/safety session.
We made sure Brayden could recite the steps in perfect order before
we took him outside to shoot.
He shot the target pretty good, and when we put a couple aluminum cans
up on the railing..bam, bam, bam! He would knock them down one by one, always making
sure he followed the proper safety steps in between each shot!
We cannot wait to take him out hunting with us, his shot will for
sure land him something good!
Good job Brayden, we're proud of you!

Sunday I went to our friend Vanessa Gaskill's baby shower.
They are expecting a baby girl April 21st.
Tyler, Vanessa, Jason & I decided a while back that an arranged marriage
of Kellen & Mallory is a must!
Kellen Dean & Mallory Rose Thompson,
it just has that beautiful ring to it, doesn't it??!!
I had such a great time & I'm not gonna lie, seeing her made me excited to try for our second child!
I miss being pregnant!
She looked great and received wonderful gifts
to help them bring baby home.

Besties

Saturday, I went to see my best friend Kacey Turner {whom you guys know 'cause she is the friend that moved to Napavine where I got to meet Jason}. She was in town from Europe.  Her husband is in the Army and she got stationed there for a few years...lucky!
She brought her 2 gorgeous boys with her Brody & Dekker.
I have to say, although how little lately, I LOVE the time I get to spend with her.  And hate the looooong time in between visits.  Even though we pick up right where we left off like no time has ever passed! {except this time I was married and had a baby! LOL}  I am hoping that one day she and her husband Randy will be stationed at Ft Lewis and our boys can grow up to be "besties" just like their Mommies.
 Love you Kacey...
and Happy Birthday (3.16)!!!!

Cute as a button, Brody

Little Brody & Kellen.
He loved to kiss Kellen and tell him "I love you baby"

And the 3 boys.
I enjoyed a great day with my best friend & her sons.
Can't wait to do it again....soon!

Helping Hand

Brayden is such a good big brother.  He loves
to hold and feed Kellen.  Look at the good job he does.
He loves to cover him up with his blankie and get his binkie for him
when he starts to fuss & he sings to him to calm him down.  Kellen
loves his big brother so much.

Brothers

Brayden got to finally meet his little brother!  He wanted to hold him and kiss him right away.  I can tell already that this is gonna be a bond that will never be broken!

Brayden flew up {all by himself for the first time} from Texas for
his spring break.
 Welcome home Brayden!
Daddy, Ksavera, and baby brother Kellen missed you so much!

Kellen's Baptism

The Rychlinski, Thompson, Riggs &Yuhasz family made it out for Kellen's big day.
The baptismal gown Kellen is wearing has been worn by EVERY Rychlinski family member. From my dad and his siblings, to their children to ours.  It's been from state to state and I'm thankful it's made it's way to our sons big day.  The shaul is from my mothers side.
What a special day to share with our family.

Cocia Erin & Uncle Ashley stood up there as Kellen's God Parents

For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are for good...to give you a future and hope.  Jeremiah 29:11 (TLB)
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6
Mommy & daddy are so proud of you!

2 Months Old

Today our precious boy is 2 months old!

He loves morning time the best.
He recognizes Mommy & Daddys voice & will follow us around the room with his eyes.
He is starting to communicate with his adorable coos & gurgles.
His eyelashes are so long & look beautiful next to his baby blue eyes.
He found out how to smile...and boy it sure melts my heart.
He is doing better and better at holding his neck up.
And I don't know what he loves more, being held or sleeping with Mommy & Daddy.
You are getting so big Kellen.
Mommy & Daddy love you so so so so much!
xoxo

{the adorable smile!}
