One Unforgetable Night!!

Jason & I celebrated our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary.
Friday night, we actually popped some bubbly to cheers
our last night of our first year of marraige.
Saturday morning we enjoyed McDonalds and Mamosas
for breakfast.  I went off to get my hair & makeup done while
Jason drove Kellen down to meet his mom & sister in Olympia because
that's who he was staying the night with.
We had dinner reservations for 6pm at the Melting Pot in Tacoma.
It was also my 10 Year High School Reunion
so we made it down to the Old Town Music Society for one unforgetable night!
It was so much fun getting to see people I haven't seen in years, some not since
Grad Night 10 years ago!
Jason & I talked about how we will never be able to have this night over again,
and I wouldn't have changed a thing about it.
When Jason & I got home, we exchanged gifts, enjoyed some champagne
in our wedding flutes, & cut & ate some of our wedding cake.
(It's tradition & good luck to keep the top of your cake & enjoy on your 1st Anniversary)
Here are some pics of our night.
I'm sorry I didn't get pics at the reunion but I was here, there & everywhere,
so we finally just put the camera in the car!
Enjoy!

To many more to come.....
Cheers!

8 Months

Kellen,
You really have learned a lot this past month.
You pull yourself up to stand whenever you have the chance.
I do think you like to stand more than you like to crawl.
We had to recently move your crib to the lowest setting!
Every morning we wake up, I take you to our family pictures on the wall and point out
who everyone is and you laugh.
You love to do the "vroom vroom" with you hands.
You sit up on your own!
Even though we tell you not to, you crawl with lightening speed to the cat food
in the kitchen.
Baby gate is next on our list.
Speaking of cats, Cupid batted at you, even though you were only following
him around because you love him!
And you got your 1st Tooth!
I was letting you chew on my finger one day, I thought I had a paper cut or hang nail you irritated
but I felt on your bottom gum and to my surprise, I felt that little precious
tooth just starting to poke out!
It was funny because the night before, you were "throwing a fit"
{thats in quotations because you throwing a fit is you doing a few "ugh... ugh's" more than
normal right before ny-night time}

Cute little tooth photo

We are so enjoying watching all the new little things you are learning so fast.
We love you so much!

Kite Festival 2011

Kellen had a blast as a 7 Month Old!
It was your official 1st Long Beach Kite Festival vacation!!

You also learned how to crawl in your 7th month of life.
You looooove to put anything & everything in your mouth!
Daddy & I kept saying, "if you were asked what you were going to be when you grew up?"
Your answer now would be a Taste Tester!
You love the water, bath time is still your favorite and you've even turned yourself
around on your tummy to play with your toys or splash in the water.
You still like to take your time going to bed, mostly because you like to be held,
but when you are out, you're out.
I love the way you burrow your head in my neck when you're sleepy.
You love to play on Daddy like he's a jungle gym.
You are becoming quite the little mover and we learn something new from you each day.
Below are some pics from your first time at the beach/Kite Festival...
Enjoy.

We had such a blast and can't wait to continue
the Rychlinski Family camping tradition....
"Til next time....

"Lions, Tigers & Bears...Oh My"

One of the mini trips we took while Brayden was here was to the Zoo.
We drove up to the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle.
We had tons of fun.
Great weather, good food, exotic animals...
what more could you ask for.
Kellen really enjoyed seeing the big animals for the first time
& Brayden just loved running us to the next habitat!

Can't wait for next summer....
What will we do next?

Field Day & Last Day of School

Brayden came up from Texas to finish off the last 4 months as a
 1st Grader with us.
He attended Olympic View Elementary.
Jason & I volunteered our time for Brayden's school's Field Day
honoring the last day of school.
We were in charge of the Potato Sack Race!!
To start, we were able to have lunch with the kids in the lunchroom.
We visited his class and watched his teacher Mrs. Pierovich conduct "Show & Tell".
All of Brayden's little classmates LOVED Kellen,
and to watch Brayden introduce his family to the class with a huge
smile on his face, was priceless.
Although homework time was tough sometimes, Brayden was
able to push through it with some amazing work and even Mrs. Pierovich noticed
because he was awarded "Exceeds Homework Standards" for every month

he was at school.
Jason & I were so proud of him and were glad we had the opportunity
to have Brayden up here and attend school and see how well he did.
Way to go Brayden,
Keep up that amazing work!
Here are some picture to capture what a fun day we had to
celebrate the last day of school!
