Take Me Out to the Ball Game...

Tacoma Rainiers
Haven't been to a game in a long time so decided to take the boys out.
Jason & I invited our friend Rob & his 2 kids Dylan & Ava.
First time being at the remodeled stadium, and although I really do hate to admit it,
I liked it.  We had a lot of fun & can't wait to do it again next year!

6 Months

Our Kellen is 6 months!
Not like the previous months weren't fun....but...
this month has definitely been lots of fun.
Your personality really started to come out and how contagious you are!
You're giggle can make everyone smile along with you.
You are a baby on the move!
First we loved to call you "Scooter" because you would lay on your back
& use your legs to scoot yourself all over the floor.
Now you are rolling over!
From stomach to back & back to front.  We watch how you will lift yourself
up when you're on your stomach into a push-up position and Daddy & I know you are goin to
be crawling any time now!
You started to eat fruit & veggies, which at first you were a little unsure of, but now
you love them and eat them so well.  In fact, some days, we can't keep the spoon moving fast enough.
Oh, and you're consistantly sleeping through the night!
 (even though you were a good sleeper to begin with)
I think I say this every month, but you're growing so fast.
And we're more in love with you every day.
We love you.

Enjoying what looks like carrots!
Mmmmmm

I'm pretty sure this is Kellen's favorite position.
Although it doesn't look too comfortable, he snuggles
up to his little lighted magic sea every night.
{You're actually snuggled up to it right this moment...sweet dreams}

Still your favorite spot in the world....my arms.
This pic was too cute to pass up.

And that smile, ugh, melts my heart.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the man I love.
I used pictures below that captured many memorable moments.
The center picture is my favorite.
That was the first time you held our
baby boy, first child, a piece of us.
From the first time I met you, I knew you were someone very special.
I thought the day we found out we were going to be parents was the best day of my life.
But little did I know, every day since then has been the "best day."
Watching you with him melts my heart.
You truely are a great dad.
I am looking forward to watching you teach our son everything there is about being a boy,
a teenager, and then an amazing man.
If he follows in your footsteps,
he is going to be one amazing person!
I am so proud to call you my husband & the father to my child.
{& future children}
Thank you for everything you do for me & Kellen.
Happy Father's Day Jason!

You also have an amazing bond with Brayden.  Wish he could
be here more often but the time you get to spend with him is priceless.
There is no doubt about it, he LOVES his Daddy!!

Thanks dad for everything you've done for me.
You are the best dad I could have ever asked for!
Love you tons.

Thank you Bruce for all that you've done for us.
I'm blessed to have such a great father-in-law.
We love you.

Happy Father's Day to every dad out there!!
xoxo

5 Months

Kellen is 5 months!
You are up to 2 full feedings of rice cereal a day.
You try to to hold your own bottle eating formula, but you always end up with a very
tight grip on Mommy or Daddy's fingers.
You recently found your tongue! And you stick it out all the time to make sure people know you've discovered it!
You started to discover you have feet and try so hard to hold them...
eventually we'll find them in your mouth, I'm sure.
You cry when you see us walk away from you, even if it's to get the one thing to fix what you started fussin' about.
You get more excited when you see us return from where we went!
I love coming home from work to
that huge smile on your face and you pumping your arms & legs with excitement!
You can roll from your stomach to your back!

Tummy time!....
right before you roll to your back and giggle like it's the best time you've ever had!

5 month pose, and there's that tongue...
{show off}

You love snuggle time,
 in fact your favorite place to fall asleep.

You have also found that thumb of yours!!
Daddy tries to stop you every chance he gets to stop the habit
before it starts...I on the other hand, think it's adorable so snapped some pictures!
{I've also caught you with your 2 fingers in your mouth like Uncle Jon did when
he was little.  I will try to snap pictures of those as well}
You continue to amaze us 'Lil Bear!
Continue to grow the way you do, you make Mommy & Daddy so proud.
 Such a big boy you've become already!

4 Months

Kellen has continued to amaze us.
He weighed in at about 15lbs & 25" long!
His laugh is becoming my favorite as he laughs more and more everyday.
Something I promise I will never get tired of.
 He is ticklish everywhere!  His feet, legs, belly and my favorite, right under his chin.
He always has a smile on his face first thing in the morning.
Again, something I will never get tired of.
He still LOVES bath time!  He kicks & splashes but I know deep
down his favorite part of bath time is the song I sing...
"Scrub Scrub Scrub, Scrub Scrub Scrub,
& a couple of la-ti-da's,
it's time to wash the day away in the merry 'ol land of Oz"
{something our dad sang to us during bath time/hair washing}
He also rolls over from time to time from stomach to back!

And the biggest news of all....
RICE CEREAL!!!
We couldn't believe it when Dr Hautala said we can start so here are some pics of that wonderful first experience!!

We love you so much "Lil Bear"
Mommy & Daddy are so proud of you.
XOXO

My Very First Mother's Day!!!

I woke up that morning so blessed.  I had the most precious baby boy I could
have ever asked for.
 I received breakfast in bed, mamosas, a dozen red roses and a beautiful card from
Kellen himself.
"You carried me, you care for me, you teach me, and you love me every day.
I am so happy and thankful to have you as my mother.  Although I can't talk yet,
this is just where I would start when it comes to telling you how much
I love you and all the great things you do for me.
 I love you more than you know.
Love your baby, Kellen."
{do I even have to mention how great Jason is and I'm proud to be the mother his child...
{and future children...smiley face}
Motherhood is great, and I couldn't of asked for a better day!

My step son Brayden is staying with us right now and
 was able to be here with me to celebrate my special day...
I really do have 2 great boys I'm very proud of!

"Good Day... Sunshine"

This past Saturday, Jason, Kellen and I packed up and headed
down to the Browns Point Lighthouse.  We were able to enjoy the
very sunny day we were so fortunate to get after these loooong winter days!
Us "Washingtonians" seem to fall into this "Winter Depression"
and I'm happy whenever we get that first 24hr sign that Summer is just around the corner!
Sitting out by the Sound, in the sun,
I had a relaxing time watching the water roll in and out, the boats come and go,
 people skipping rocks, walking dogs, my husband fishing
and my son laying on the blanket beside me.  It was the first
family outing we actually had outside in the sunshine and I loved it!
I loved spending time with my family.

Kellen Sunbathing....
{look out Baywatch}

The pictures below show just a few beautiful
memories from that day.
Can't wait to do it again soon.
You can see Stadium in the distance.
Beautiful view.

Jason's fishing post.

The only thing Jason caught that day.
{exept my attention, I loooove my fisherman}

This boat was huge by the way!

Mommy & Son

Kellen bundled up on Daddy after the long day.
We stopped by Uncle Ashley & Cocia Erin's house where
we wrapped up a great day.
